Syrco BASÈ Serves Bali Above Jakarta
Syrco BASÈ has officially arrived in Jakarta with an exclusive three-week culinary pop-up in collaboration with Plaza Indonesia. From 16 February to 7 March 2026, the pop-up is hosted at Altitude Grill Jakarta, on the 46th floor of The Plaza, offering a refined dining experience set high above the city with sweeping views of Jakarta’s skyline.

Bringing a taste of Bali and Chef Syrco Bakker’s two Michelin-starred skills to the capital, Syrco BASÈ translates its distinctive philosophy into an urban setting. At its core, the restaurant is guided by a clear culinary identity. Syrco BASÈ is a conscious dining concept, where local products and flavors meet a modern Western approach. Chef Syrco shares: “Bringing Syrco BASÈ to Jakarta is an exciting moment for us. We’re not simply recreating what we do in Ubud, but translating our philosophy into a new context. In a very different environment to our home in Bali, we invite guests to experience Indonesian ingredients and flavors through our approach of traceability, nature, and transparency. Every dish contains layered stories of origin, our collaborations with farmers and suppliers, and our respect for the land.”
Rooted in the guiding principles of Traceability, Nature, and Transparency, the Jakarta pop-up menu is conceived as a living expression of Syrco BASÈ’s culinary platform. Ingredients are selected through close relationships with farmers, fishers, and artisans whose care, craftsmanship, and sustainable practices shape every plate. The menu follows nature rather than controlling it, drawing inspiration from the landscapes and biodiversity of Bali and the wider Indonesian archipelago, while embracing honesty and clarity of flavor.
The menu tells a story of Syrco BASÈ’s journey, balancing signature classics with new discoveries. Guests can expect a selection of defining dishes such as Steak Tartar with rendang seasoning, Taro Rösti with Duck Betutu, Spiny Lobster preparations, and Pure Chocolate with soursop and avocado—plates that reflect the roots, evolution, and flavors that have shaped the restaurant’s identity. Alongside these, new creations introduce fresh techniques and combinations inspired by ongoing culinary explorations across Indonesia, keeping the experience dynamic and forward-looking.

Complementing the cuisine is a beverage pairing that highlights carefully selected Indonesian and Balinese producers. Guests will discover spirits and artisanal creations from brands such as Three Peaks, Black Rock, Nusa Caña, Yellow Sky, and SABA Grappa, thoughtfully integrated into cocktail selections. These collaborations further reinforce Syrco BASÈ’s commitment to celebrating local craftsmanship across every element of the dining experience.
Beyond the cuisine itself, the pop-up is designed as a fully immersive experience. For three weeks, Altitude Grill will be completely transformed, with interior designers reimagining the space to reflect the distinctive atmosphere of Syrco BASÈ in Ubud. Natural textures, thoughtful details, and a curated ambiance bring the spirit of Bali into Jakarta’s skyline setting. Music, visual aesthetics, aromas, and the rhythm of movement within the space are carefully orchestrated, allowing guests to transition gently through the evening. Together, these elements create an experience that engages all the senses.
The Syrco BASÈ Jakarta pop-up will be available for dinner daily from 5.00 PM to 10.00 PM. A more intimate lunch service is also available daily from 12.00 PM to 2.00 PM, upon request, designed for guests seeking a refined daytime expression of the menu.
Guests may choose from two tasting experiences. The Journey Menu, priced at IDR 1,350,000++, is available for both lunch and dinner, with the option of a beverage pairing at IDR 575,000++ or a 0% beverage pairing at IDR 375,000++. For lunch, the Pure Menu, priced at IDR 850,000++, offers a lighter yet equally expressive experience, complemented by an optional beverage pairing at IDR 450,000++ or a 0% beverage pairing at IDR 275,000++.

For guests seeking the most complete expression of the Syrco BASÈ experience, a Full Experience is also available at IDR 2,900,000++. This curated offering includes the Journey Menu, a glass of Champagne, a beverage pairing featuring a selection of cocktails and wines, water, an after-dinner cocktail, and coffee or tea.
