Their combined rankings produced an objective Top 30, which was divided into three tiers, Gold, Silver and Bronze, each containing ten restaurants arranged alphabetically to celebrate unique strengths rather than imply a strict hierarchy. Hailing from the Netherlands, DutchIndonesian chef Syrco Bakker is known for his inventive creations and strong principles. After helming Sergio Herman’s Pure C for 13 years – during which he was awarded with two Michelin stars – Syrco made the monumental decision to move to Indonesia and embark on a new journey with his own restaurant, Syrco BASÈ, in Ubud, Bali.

Dutch chef Syrco Bakker is making his UAE debut by taking over Farmhouse at The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah Al Wadi Desert. The chef has spent 13 years in fine-dining restaurants across the Netherlands, making a name for himself as head chef of Sergio Herman’s Pure C, which holds two Michelin stars.
