In the tranquil heart of Ubud, where rice fields meet refined sensibilities, Syrco BASÈ continues to redefine what it means to experience conscious fine dining in Bali.

Led by Chef Syrco Bakker, the restaurant introduces Pure BASÈ, a five-course menu that brings the art of dining closer to everyone while remaining deeply rooted in the guiding principles of Traceability, Nature, and Transparency (TNT).

Pure BASÈ is a culinary expression that celebrates the richness of Indonesian ingredients, people, and honest value. Priced at IDR 850k++ per person, it offers a refined yet approachable dining journey that connects flavour, craftsmanship, and purpose.

This new chapter comes alongside a milestone for Chef Syrco Bakker, who recently received the Two Knives (World-Class) award at The Best Chef Awards 2025 in Milan, a global recognition shared among 236 of the world’s leading chefs for creativity, excellence, and influence in shaping modern gastronomy.

“Receiving this recognition among peers I greatly admire is a true honour,” says Chef Syrco.

“It reinforces our mission here in Bali, to create food that is meaningful yet approachable, and to show that excellence and simplicity can exist hand in hand when we respect both people and the land.”

Chef Syrco, previously honoured with two Michelin stars during his tenure at Pure C in the Netherlands, now brings that same dedication to craftsmanship and sustainability to Bali’s evolving fine dining scene.

And while there are no Michelin stars restaurants in Bali (yet?) Syrco BASÈ continues to raise the standard, offering a dining experience that is equally about flavour, connection, and consciousness.

Whether you come for Pure BASÈ or embark on the BASÈ Journey, every moment is designed to inspire curiosity and celebrate Indonesia’s natural abundance.
